Sustainable Design Principles Event returns

SDPE is an exclusive annual event aimed at communicating and engaging the design and construction industry on sustainable design and products.

For a third year, Sustainable Design Principles Event (SDPE) will bring together design and construction industry professionals for an informative and inspiring look at the use and application of sustainable materials.

Keynote speaker, Chris Knierim, managing director of Designer Constructions Group will discuss the sustainable aspects, challenges and materials used on his international award winning Forest Lodge ECO Home.

Anita Mitchell, general manager of sustainability and Darryl Stuckey, sustainability analyst, both of Lend Lease, will give a strategy update on Barangaroo South with a presentation on the sustainable materials used.

Founder of SDPE, Eminè Mehmet, says the design and construction industry has an important role in creating a sustainable future.  “We’re at the beginning of the sustainable food chain – it’s up to us to create living and working environments that have less impact on the planet and on human health.”

SDPE is a chance to discover new sustainable products and learn about key commercial and residential projects planned to help give Sydney a more sustainable future.

The event will take place in the centre of Sydney on the 11th of September and is registered for two GBCA CPD points and four DIA CPD points.
